BJ Penn is retiring from the MMA

After 13 years of professional fighting, one that surely will be introduced soon in the Hall of Fame of the UFC announced his retirement yesterday, after his defeat against Frankie Edgar.

BJ Penn was champion in two weights of the UFC, or 155 pounds and 170 pounds. One also known as "The Prodigy" took this decision after losing 3 fights in a row, including his last against Frankie Edgar. Recall that this was the 3rd time that BJ faced Frankie and he lost 3 fights.

He hopes to have its place in the UFC such as coach and motivator for the survey. Dana White said after the announcement of the retirement of Penn that he was a legend of the sport as having helped tremendously to make the UFC what it is today.

The reasons for retiring are obviously its 3 defeats in a row and his lack of motivation. As he has said in press conference after his last fight, to be in the UFC, hungry, it is necessary to have an incredible energy to compete against the world's elite. BJ would no longer have the necessary energy and wants to leave his place for the next generation.

He finished his career with 28 Professional fights, including 16 wins, 10 losses and 2 games Dummies.
