Overeem explained his defeat

When Alistair Overeem entered in the UFC, we was expecting so much from him. His performances in the Strikeforce Organization and the fact that he is a K-1 Grand Prix Champion gave us high hope.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't meet our expectations. Since entering the UFC, Alistair is 2W-3L. His 3 defeats are the result of KO every time. Last Friday, Ben Rothwell was the underdog and he gave him another lesson.

In the 1st round, Ben has launched a right hand to Overeem who made him lose balance and led him to the ground.

In an interview, he said he made a mistake. According to Overeem, the right hand of Ben was injured. In the mind of Overeem, Ben would not use this hand to hit. It was however this hand that took him to the ground.

As he said, "we all suspected that Rothwell was a tough fighter... but here, we have the confirmation."

At the end of the interview, Overeem said he is willing to accept other fights.

Do you want to see him again in the UFC? Do you think that Dana White will give him another chance?
