The new Nvidia Shield Tablet available on July 29

The manufacturer of video cards Nvidia lifted the veil on its next game tablet, the "Shield Tablet". A 8 inch screen and 32 bit Tegra K1 cpu will be available in this version for the launch in the United States on July 29. The Shield Tablet will be available from $299 for a 16GB model with Wi-Fi. In the United Kingdom and Europe, the launch will follow in August priced at £229. All regions will receive a free copy of Trine 2. NVIDIA is also launching a separate controller for the Tablet, which will retail for $59. No discounted bundle will be available at launch.

The Shield Tablet has 2GB of RAM, a display of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a MicroSD expansion slot with up to 128 GB of storage, a front and back camera of 5MP, a stylus based on DirectStylus 2 technology from Nvidia, stereo speakers, 10 hours of battery life for video playback and 3 to 5 hours for games. The new version will also offer a construction which, according to the company, dispels two times as much heat as rivals during extended gaming sessions. A version of the Shield Tablet with LTE and 32 GB of memory will also be available for $399.

On the software side,  The Shield Tablet will come with a stock version of Android 4.4.3 with only some small change for the gaming part. Twitch is integrated with the operating system and allows players to broadcast online from almost any application, game or part of the Android interface.

The new version of the Nvidia Shield Tablet will be available on July 29 at a price of $299 for the Wi-Fi 16GB version and $399 for the 32GB LTE version
