Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor available sooner than expected

The developer Monolith Productions announced today that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be launched a week earlier than originally announced.

PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions will be launched September 30, while the Windows PC and Steam version will be available October 2, 2014.

According to a press release by Warner Bros, the decision to release the game ahead of the release date was based on "hearing fans' excitement".

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which was originally scheduled for October 7, is set in the imaginary J.R.R. Tolkien's universe and proposes a scenario situated chronologically between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Using the same graphics engine as the Assasin's Creed game series, the game promises a similar experience of them.
