No change for Quantum Break despite the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studio

Although much of the attention on the Xbox One was on his 'all-in-one' feature of games, movies, television and others, the latest cuts at Microsoft made the end of the Xbox Entertainment Studio division. This announcement has the impact of the cancellation of most of the original programming from the studio.

In a note sent to the employees of the studio (a total of 200 employees), Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, announced that Xbox Entertainment Studios was going to close, but Spencer also confirmed that ongoing projects will be completed; in particular the next documentary series on the history of Atari "Signal To Noise", the movie "Halo: Nightfall" which kicks off with the release of "The Master Chief Collection" and finally the ambitious project of Remedy Entertainment: Quantum Break.

Specifically, a spokesman for Microsoft said that Quantum Break the game and TV series will be published next year. Remedy has also added that the Xbox Entertainment Studios news has not touched their progress and are excited to share more details on Quantum Break at the Gamescom in August.
