Several people including several members of PokerCollectif were talking about already yesterday on the forums (http://forum.pokercollectif.com/poker-general/31514-ongame-party-merge.html). Party Poker, the former leader of the poker online prior to prohibition in the United States, was told, merge to the company  Bwin Interactive Entertainment as soon as 2011.
       Title indicative, Party Poker is now the third leading poker rooms online behind PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker and Bwin is a giant in sports betting and also 5th at poker rooms level.
      So that the agreement is endorsed, 75% of the shareholders of each of the two companies were to give their approval to the merger.
This morning the news is official. Party Poker (network PartyGaming)     and Bwin (Ongame network)  are more than one. The merger between the two companies comes to create a new giant in the industry of online poker with a turnover of US $ 887 million. This merger will save more than 70 million U.S. dollars in transaction costs.
      Even if this merger will do much shadow as Ipoker networks for example, Bwin and PartyGaming should expect some difficult months.
When the agreement is finalized, the new group will be listed on the London Stock Exchange and will be co-chaired      by Jim Ryan and Norbert Teufelberger.
