Interview with Chris aka MrMuckDude

Today was my day to do the interview with MuckDude. It gives me a phone number to call it, and I call it.

To put you in a situation, I heard his voice only once very quickly and that's it. He had made a video for PokerCollectif and you could hear it talk about 5 minutes. I've never met Chris and I do talk to him on MSN.

Therefore, I call it, and from the first seconds, y' has a big malaise.

Is the interview (very very bad interview). I had expected that it would last 30 minutes (on MSN, he seemed motivated to answer the questions). After 7 minutes, the interview is complete and may have nothing to say. The interview the most awkward ever. He responds with Yes worse of non worse speaks to me that he wants to buy an island. He said that I deal with lazy. There is not too much my questions.

His answers are kind: "I mappelle Chris, I come from the Beauce worse I play poker". Next question?

It makes me uncomfortable by the dint of not responding.

I do hear the interview to Sebasdess which starts to have doubts about the authenticity of the said character. We learn eventually that it not him pantoute.

In fact, MuckDude gave me the number one of his chums from Laval in warning him that a guy from PokerCollectif (Kidam) would call him to ask him questions and he was pretending to MuckDude. He told of butter thick pis to tell ben the shit. He had the green light to answer anything.

Finally, I interviewed the friend of MuckDude (thinking it was MuckDude) who remember probably already more than what has happened. I think that it was not fasting.

I sent the audio result to MuckDude who found it A1 telling me that he would listen to it loop laughing.

Very smart this MrMuckDude!

Here is the interview with the MrMuckDude true!
************

For those who do not know who is MuckDude, could you give us a few words of introduction? Should we call you "Sir" MuckDude for real?

I am a Beauceron that has been playing poker for about 5 years. Three years in a professional manner. For what is dear, not really, but I went old, so I thought deserve the title:)

How old you got to the fact?

27.

This is what the place that poker is currently in your life? You live it?
Were you a job before?

I have too much fun to play as many know. I'm too lazy to go to work and I love the freedom afforded to me by poker so I keep playing. As I am a perfectionist and I hate losing (as theplux said in your last interview), I continue to improve my game and I devoted several hours a week.

Currently, it is 90% of my revenue source and even if the games have improved much recently, I consider cards too profitable for abandoning them even though my pleasure to play decreases.

I had several jobs when I was a student, the beauceron standard jobs. I worked on a farm, I was also Cook in a restaurant even if today I am more able to make me a toast and I worked in a hardware store, but I was dismiss after mixing insecticide and fertilizer for the ground of an old lady.

Daring to work in a hardware store under the influence of magic mushrooms you say? (...) Yes.

Could you tell us something about your career as a poker player?

I started the poker through RockXStar. At the time, I had made an agreement with RockXStar which had lent me$ 2000. Sharing the gains and losses, and it is with this money that I started to play. I have always been pretty good in strategy games.

A few years ago, I was ranked 3rd in the Canada to Starcraft. 2nd a year and then 3rd. Lots of good poker players have been very good Starcraft players.

So I started the 100nl with this money and I rode fast enough to the NL400. Then, I had a downswing that unmotivated me poker. I took a long pose of the cards. I also had health problems which have not helped.

Later, RockXStar has funds me$ 1000 for me leave a bankroll. I started at the try, and obviously, I mounted very quickly. I'm only a player of cash game. I have always done my money playing for cash games. In one year, I rode the NL2000. At that time, the parties were easier than today ' hui. I was a regular on the NL1000 and I did a bit of table selection to find good NL2000 tables.

I mostly learned by myself as I said because I've always had a good capacity to quickly understand winning strategies in strategy games. I discussed poker with a few people from the forum also. I added Giggy and Kirb in my MSN contact list and I discussed a few times with them. Although Kirb plays much of cash game, I have to say that it helped me. I discussed several hands also with Giggy that has helped me. But the majority of the work I did it by myself reviewing hands, analyzing my sessions, etc.

Do you think that your video posted on Video Poker collective contains enough material to become a winning player?

Of course! Pity that the sound cuts out one quarter of the video, if not 3/4 of the forum would play high stakes. Not be as lazy, I'd do another more serious or not.

We are talking about a weird/funny/moving/touching or absurd story involving members of PokerCollectif.

I have not encountered so many people PokerCollectif, but I'll try:

Bizarre: I'm with fortier69 and Vook to the little frog in Ste - Foy and gets drunk "drunk bin drunk". fortier69 me offers to fly the big barrels of I know not how many liters of beers which must weigh 200 lbs each on the side of the counter of the bar. So it picks it up to 2, and the shootergirl we intercepts and explains that it is not correct guys, but Vook seducer managed to mollify while me and fortier69 we go on the terrace with the barrel. Attempts to cross across the terrace, but a doorman points and we managed to save themselves from the staff to the green carpet.

Funny: Rockxstar has no TV at home, even no curved TV's chalet.

Moving: Last week, I flip the St-Hubert with popers, rockxstar, jcstpierre, emojerk and psychoss with 2 dice. Popers: two dice of 1, total 2, it pays the St-Hubert.

I decide to get my revenge for other flips lost previously with him and I place my order: 18 chicken strips, 1 salad, cheese sticks entries and as I was hesitating between the brownie and chocolate-mousse, I decide to take the 2. Popers starts to tilt and wanted to poison my food, I therefore felt poorly and I have ordered a salad. Thank you.

On the forums, you got a guy looks quite relaxes, the kind of guys pretty cool and lazy (without wishing to offend you). Yet, you're an excellent worse winning player I can't believe that you came here without work and make an effort. You put a lot of effort on poker? Are you also motivated than before? Do you have a / objectives?

As I said, I do a lot of efforts. I have difficulty expressing my games and it is why I does not always in the policy section, but I try to do as often as possible. I work my game, I am revising my sessions and I still play at least 30heures per week.

For motivation, I have less and less fun to play, but I'll stop not. I always set myself targets monthly. Long term, I would like to be able to invest and continue to play poker, without pressure.

Are you doing the coaching?

The coaching, I never really did, but I am open to offers.

Do you have a final word? You can say/ask anything

Really? Aleze take a 3-0 Montreal and a box of 25 setups for take-out.

PokerCollectif would like to thank Chris/MonsieurMuckDude for this interview! Good luck in your future projects and good luck cards!
