Division of the network iPoker in September

ipokerLogoLast February, PokerCollectif expressed you the rumor that iPoker (Playtech) could be divided into two networks. The rumor was confirmed two weeks ago, and details are now available.

A release of iPoker has been sent and reads as follows: 'IPoker has decided to expand the network policy to include specific quality standards that govern the interaction between the different poker rooms. Does not meet any of these standards will result in a separation of the poker room of the main network. "

This new policy is applicable since July 1 and a split of the network is scheduled for September 2012. Operators who are not the criteria are not expelled from the network, but will be rather limited to a pool of smaller secondary player and, above all, more competent. Of course, this new policy is not everyone's: some operators may find themselves in an unattractive subnet and could be moving, either merge with other operators, or simply close.

The main criteria will be required to have at least 6000 active players in addition to draw each month at least 850 new players (real money players). Financial penalties imposed for the rooms that have not kept a sufficient ratio of 'fish/sharks' will also remain.

This new policy aims to ensure that iPoker becomes a network encouraging recreational players, fostering a more enjoyable gaming experience. Operators will therefore have an advantage to invest in marketing to recruit enough new players.
