End of 888poker on the french market

Another player withdrew from the french market. This is the Group 888 announced that they abrogated their poker license online in France. For a long time already, the 888 Group had complained openly of the heaviness of the model of French taxation. This thus likely announces the end of the 888/Microgaming network. The first nail in the coffin was the departure of MyPok to the Partouche platform earlier this year.

The withdrawal of 888poker occurs while many other brands yet well established in other markets also reported package facing machines Winamax and PokerStars.

In its last quarterly report, the ARJEL revealed a decline of 5% of revenue poker, specifying that the poker online in France was entering a phase of stabilization, or even decline, mainly due to the difficulty of operators authorized to recruit new players.

Since the very beginnings of the ARJEL, both players operators denounce the misunderstanding of the regulatory authority against online poker... who seem rather slow to perform fixes...
