Online Poker: the winners and losers in 2013

Now that 2013 is behind us, it's time to make assessments. Your side, how was the year 2013 side poker?

At the top of the 2 categories (more big winners and big losers) found the names of Niklas Heinecker and Gus Hansen, each in its respective category.

Niklas Keinecker results were impressive. In 2013, he finished in the profits of 6, 3 m$. If we remember by 2012, more than the year's big winner was Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky with 3, $5M in profits. Nikla therefore almost doubled the profits of Sulsky 2012.

6, 3 m$ of Niklas, need to add 4, $5M in profits during tournaments lives, which gives it a little more than 10 M$ for the year 2013. Make jealous Gus Hansen who quasi-antant has lost this year.

Therefore a list of pros who most won in 2013:

1 Niklas Heinecker "ragen70": + $6.3 million
2. ben "Bttech" Tollerene: + $2.9 million
3 Alex "IReadYrSoul" Millar: + $2 million
4 Odd_Oddsen: + $1.9 million
5 am CDT 'trex313' Dang: + $1.8 million
6 No_Ola: + $1.8 million
7 FinddaGrind: + $1.7 million
8 Tight-Man1: + $1.4 million
9 proudlikeagoat: + $1.3 million
10 Follow The Hawk: + $985,000

Honorable mentions

Tom Dwan. Even if it was more part of the elite of the online poker players, he still won $ 750,000 in 68,144 hands. What make him forget the bad memories of his heads up challenge against Daniel Cates (jungleman12).

Viktor Blom. Even if Viktor does not appear in the top 10, he has still won $586K. On one side, it is much more that the majority of poker players online and be proud. But on the other side, it is a little less interesting for him when we know that at some point in the year, he was winner of 5 M$. At least, he finished in the green.
It will be interesting to see how perform Blom in 2014, he who has accustomed us to very many swings in his career of poker player, as the year 2013 evidenced.

There, so there are winners, there are losers.

Here is the list of the biggest losers of the year 2013:

1 gus Hansen:-$8.4 million
2 MalACEsia:-$3.7 million
3 samrostan:-$3.4 million
4 Phil "Polarizing" Ivey:-$2.4 million
5-punting-peddler:-$1.7 million
6. ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky:-$1.4 million
7 patpatpanda:-$1.3 million
8 Scott "mastrblastr" Seiver:-$1.2 million
9 Rui Cao:-$1 million
10 davin77:-$1 million

Those who have followed the PokerCollectif news during the year will be surprised to see the name of Gus Hansen at the top of this list, who brought that lose since Full Tilt Poker reopened in November 2012.

A more surprising name however is that of Ben Sulsky, who was the big winner of the year 2012.

Considering that he won 3.5 M$ in 2012, this loss of 1, 4 M$ did nothing to ruin his career.

Another name a little less expected on this list, that of Phil Ivey, considered by many as one of the best players in the world. Probably only his time and his energies are more oriented to the tables of casinos in Macau. Whatever it is, Phil does not have to be embarrassed by 2012 as it remains still the biggest winner online at life with more than 20 M$ in profits. This is only the first year that Phil is losing online. And if we take into consideration its gains in Macau, it is most definitely still winning in 2012.

And you, how was your year 2013 online?
