Party Gaming and Bwin merge

We announced some time ago (last July), but it is now official. Party Gaming (Party Poker, the site of love) and Bwin merge. This merger is very important in the world of online poker since it merges two very big players and two pioneers (Party Gaming to poker and online casinos) and BWIN for sports betting. For this reason, the new Hall will have the advantage that its competitors do not have (we're talking here of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker): an addition to poker, casino and sports betting.

For french players, unfortunately, this merger will not change anything at the moment because it will be a .com site. No detail was still given on the possibility of a .fr room. Many scholars believe that this merger will make the new giant twice as popular as William Hill and Ladbrokes bathroom.

The BWIN website which formerly operated on the Ongame network will now be on the Party Poker Network. The two CEOs will for now be Jim Ryan of PartyGaming and Norbert Teufelberger of Bwin.

According to an estimate of the site PokerScout, this merger will lead to create the 3rd largest site of poker online in terms of attendance after PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. With this merger, the new giant will outperform its closest rival for many years, the iPoker network.

The name of the giant will from now the Bwin Party Digital Entertainment.

The reputation of these two rooms is more to do and on the side of Bwin, we understand very well why: in the last quarter of 2010, the amount invested in the communications and marketing has reached 27 million euros in France and Italy only.
