PokerStars takes drastic measures to keep their word!

News PokerCollectif regulars know very well and we have repeated several times (probably because it's nice to hear): Full Tilt Poker will distribute hands on 6 November. In the meantime, there is still much to do and the folks at PokerStars (former competitor of FTP and now owner) do not lose time. Last Friday, 30 tonnes of computer equipment had to be moved from Dublin (former headquarters of FTP) up to the Isle of Man (where is currently the headquarters of PokerStars).
To move as much material, PokerStars have had recourse to the army, nothing less!
Interviewed by local television channel Manx TV, Eric Hollreiser, Director of communications at PokerStars, explained that the Hercules military aircraft used in this operation, was carrying the servers and other equipment from Full Tilt, some measuring more than seven meters in height. Previously, the FTP was based in Dublin and the site was under the supervision of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). To make things easier, PokerStars has no choice to move all this hardware!
Lee Jones at PokerStars, also commented on the new: "aircraft of the Isle of Man are fine but they are not equipped to carry 15 tonnes of computer equipment. The load capacity of the Hercules represents approximately half of the computer equipment to transfer, the other fifteen tons being chartered by more traditional methods".
This is great news when you think that everything is set up so that the date of November 6 to be respected!
Another word in closing on the FTP in France players refund procedure.
A press release issued this Monday, September 24, 2012 by the authority of Regulation of games in line (ARJEL) described the procedure whereby players with funds stuck on Full Tilt.fr since the withdrawal of the licence may be reimbursed before November 06, following the agreement between PokerStars and the Department of Justice (DOJ).
