PokerStars.com is reviewing its rake downward

Poker-Rake
New how to calculate rake was not very well received by the players on the site. PokerCollectif had also explained you the changes that were to come into force from January 1st.

PokerStars.com has so decide to make a compromise on the rake following numerous complaints by its players. Following these negotiations and discussions, several points emerged and several changes will have places:

1 - First, the percentage of the maximum rake has been lowered to 4.5%

2 - The total amount of rake was around 2% 2011 diminume

3 - Players Supernova and Supernova Elite that have accumulated in 2011 at least half of their VPPs in cash game will keep their status in 2013, subject to win in 2012 the number of VPPs required per month to maintain their status. This offer is exceptional and will apply until 2013.

4 - Supernova and Supernova Elite players can now accumulate less VPPs as the monthly number required two months a year without losing their status.

5. the number of VPPs required to maintain row Supernova decreased to 6,500 VPPs per month.

6 - Two new limits in cash game have been added: $ 0.03 / $ 0.06 and $ 0.08/0.16 (of beautiful sizing perspective calculation exercises!).

7. the maximum rake amount increases for high stakes tables and decreases for most other tables.

The NL20000 and NL40000 (tables that affect less than 1% of the players on the site) will have a new ceiling of rake in $ 5 instead of $ 3.

Please note that these changes are effective today, dated February 1, 2012!

For example, with the former method, on a table of micro limit NL2 heads up, you could pay up to $ 0.50 rake, i.e. 5%. Today, with the new method of rake, it is 20 cents less that you will pay is $ 0.30 for a total of 3.5% of rake only.

On a table of 100nl for a pot of $ 200 for example, previously, you had to pay 5% to a maximum of $ 3. Today, this amount was reduced to $ 2.80. The decrease is relatively small, but in the long term, on thousands of hands, ca may be the difference between a winning player and a player break-even.
