Tom "durrrr" Dwan is winner of $ 134,000 on Patrick Antonius at the opening session

Last Wednesday, the first session had ended in the challenge involving Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Patrick Antonious. This challenge rules are that each opponent must play 50000 hands on 4 simultaneous tables against Dwan playing Hold'em no-limit or Pot Limit Omaha on Full Tilt Poker. At the end of these 50 000 hands, if the opponent of "durrrr" longer, not what would be $ 1, Dwan him will pay 3:1, i.e. $ 1.5 million if the opposite occurs, it is his opponent who will pay him $ 500,000. These 50 000 hands will obviously play during several sessions. Antonius, Phil Ivey and David Benyamine have all accepted the challenge of Dwan.

Antonius and Dwan played the 50,000 required hands 1.541 last Wednesday and Dwan finished the session with a gain of $ 134,911.50 on his rival.  They played the OLP on 4 of 8 tables reserved for the "durrrr Challenge" by Full Tilt Poker.

Dwan has been a flop of sets machine during this session. He won two monstrous pots with them against the big draws of Antonius. In the first hand, Dwan opens at $ 1,200 and Antonius call from the big blind. Antonius is the first to bet $ 2,400 on the flop 10c_diamond.gif 7c_spade.gif 5 c_diamond.gif , Dwan raises to $ 7,700 and Antonius call. The turn brings a 2 c_club.gif and Antonius bet again, this time $ 17,800. Dwan raises to $71 200 and Antonius call the all-in. Dwan has a set of ten with J c_spade.gif 10 c_spade.gif 10 c_club.gif 3 c_diamond.gif while Antonius has J c_heart.gif 8 c_spade.gif 6c_club.gif 4 c_spade.gif for a big draw. J c_diamond.gif on the river has not helped Antonius and Dwan wins a pot of $ 148 266. Shortly after, a similar situation occurred while Antonius has bet $ 2,400 on a flop of Q c_diamond.gif 9 c_spade.gif 6 c_spade.gif after which Dwan has raised $ 7,700. Instead of only caller, Antonius has 3-bette his opponent to $ 25,500. In control of the situation, Dwan has restarted again at $ 78,900 and Antonius has calle the all-in, showing its cards c_spade.gif Q c_club.gif 8 c_spade.gif 3 c_heart.gif for top pair and a draw to the nuts flush. Dwan showed J c_diamond.gif 10 c_spade.gif 6 c_club.gif 6 c_diamond.gif for the small set. Q c_heart.gif on the turn gave to Dwan a full house, allowing it to win the pot of $ 134.

In another major confrontation, Dwan did nothing to hunt "luckbox" reputation, hitting a runner-runner flush to win a pot of $ 114 484. Antonius had raised pre-flop and bet $ 2,400 on the flop Q c_club.gif 7 c_heart.gif 2c_club.gif. Dwan made the call and the 10 c_heart.gif falls on the turn. Dwan check and Antonius bets $ 7,200. Dwan raises to $ 28,800. Antonius again raises $ 93,600 and Dwan call the all in turn. Antonius has Q c_heart.gif 9 c_spade.gif 8 c_club.gif 7 c_spade.gif for two pairs and an "open-ended straight draw", while Dwan has K c_heart.gif 10 c_club.gif 4 c_club.gif 2 c_heart.gif giving two flush draws him. J c_heart.gif that fell on the River showed no mercy for Antonius and Dwan won another big jar.

Antonius left the game after about five hours of play and both players have agreed to resume the game the next day, but several reasons have been the two players pushed their next session at a later date. We will keep you informed of upcoming parties.
