2011 WSOP - Cajelais in mission - summary of June 9

wsop-2011-braceletHis second cash to life, Zhukov won a second title; David Diaz wins first bracelet; Erik Cajelais passes on day 3 and the #15 event has not smiled at seven Quebec players. Here is the summary of June 9 to the WSOP 2011.

Event #11 (Omaha Hi / Lo $ 10,000) - Vyacheslav Zhukov prevails.
Barely able to smile before the cameras, the first words in English from Vyacheslav Zhukov were "I'm tired". Zhukov had yet to win $ 465 216 and his first WSOP bracelet. It was also only the second time that Zhukov was placed in paid places in international tournaments. The last time was in 2009, he won the EPT event.
Twice in paid places, and already one title of the WSOP and EPT. We can really say that when Zhukov passes the bubble, it is really first place!

Event #12 (Triple Chance No - Limit Hold'Em at $ 1500)-David Diaz won his first bracelet
It took nearly 28 hours of game to Crown a winner, and it is David Diaz, who has managed the feat. He pockets $ 352 808 and a first world series of poker bracelet. When journalists asked him if he had expected to win a bracelet at the WSOP this year, he replied: "in fact, I expect to win two. "I don't know why, but that's what I thought". David Diaz is already halfway to its goal!

Event #13 (Triple Shootout No - Limit Hold'Em at $ 1500)-Erik Cajelais Mission for a bracelet!
There remained three Quebecers on the 160 remaining players on day 2. These ensured all a minimum prize of $ 4998, but absolutely had to defeat the players at their table to move to the day #3. Unfortunately for them, the day yesterday was fatal. This is the case of the Montreal Allan Puzantyan and Carter Swindler, who won $ 4998.Swindler passed well close to move to the next day, but it was finally the last player eliminated from the day.
Erik Cajelais, on his side, will move to the day #3. It ensures minimum $ 13 238 and, in the event of a victory, it could Pocket $ 369 371. Inflated to block, Cajelais announced on his facebook account: "as (front) yesterday, I took the chip lead from the first hands and I dominated the table to move to the third round of the $ 1500 shootout. There are more than 15 players between me and the thing I want most in the world. It's gonna take a tank to get out me tomorrow!"

Event #14 (Limit Hold'Em at $ 3000)-more than 18 players!
No Quebec took part in the event. The leaders of the day #1 have virtually all been eliminated, unless the player's Team PokerStars Victor Ramdin, who was able to retain his 5th place in the standings.
There are only 18 players and the action will resume today.

Event #15 (Pot-Limit Hold'Em at $ 1500)-bad luck for Quebecers
No chance for 7 Canadians register: André Boyer, Jonathan Driscoll (Da_Engineer), Vincent Jacques (Vluff), Sébastien Roy (RockStar), René Angélil, Jean St-Pierre and Jean-François Talbot (twoeazy) were all victims on this first day of hostilities.
After a day of game, Ronald Lee is in first position 122 700 with 88 players remaining. The first 72 positions ensure amounting to 2912.

Event #16 Draw Lowball Championship ($ 10,000) - several big names still in contention
Definitely, the lowball draw does not seem a popular variant of Quebecers. After seeing only two Quebecers (André Boyer and Erik Cajelais) participate in the Draw Lowball tournament at $ 1,500, no Quebec will participate in the Draw-Lowball event $ 10,000.
126 inscriptions, it is only 88 and action will resume today while several big names are still in the running: Shaun Deeb, Nick Schulman, Joe Cassidy, Jennifer Harman, Phil Hellmuth, David Williams, Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matusow, Eli Elezra, Johnny Chan, Bertrand 'Elky' Grospellier, Erick Lindgren, Bill Chen, Joseph Cheong, Jason Mercier, Erik Seidel, David Benyamine, Greg Raymer, Barry Greenstein, Doyle Brunson and many others.

To watch today:
Therefore, there is only a single Quebecer to monitor today (Erik Cajelais on the #13 event). The first event of H.O.R.S.E. (event $ 1500) also begins today.
