Main event of the World Series of Poker 2011: day 1B - beautiful performance for Quebecers
Thursday had been difficult for Canadians participating in the main event of the world series of poker. Indeed, on the 11 Quebec register, only 6 were able to qualify for the 2nd day, including only two players in the top 100 (Sean Grover and Philippe Bouchard, 94th and 98th position).

Yesterday was quite the opposite. With 978 inscriptions, the participation of Friday was slightly upward from the 897 register Thursday. Quebecers were also slightly more numerous, while 14 Quebec represented the Québec delegation. Thus, following Quebecers were part of the second wave of the first day of the WSOP: François Billard (aka Roo_400), Jean-François Bouchard, Marc Carpenter-Perrault, Pierre-Marc Chadi, Philippe d'Auteuil (aka TakeChip), Sébastien Duclos, Martin-Fournier Giguère (aka Giggy), Pascal Lefrancois (aka Pass_72), Guillaume Rivet (aka SixZeros), Pierre Root, Carter Swidler, Odette Tremblay, Alexis Urli and Mario Defoy

At the conclusion of the day, only Pierre-Marc Chadi, Sébastien Duclos and Alexis Urli have not been able to qualify for the second day.

So here are the rankings for the day 1 B:
10th – Guillaume Rivet (SixZeros)
34th - Martin-Fournier Giguère (Giggy)
93rd - Philippe of Auteuil (Takechip)
95th - Mario Davis
151st - Pascal Lefrancois (pass_72)
201E - Jean-François Bouchard
205th - Odette Tremblay
363rd - Carter Swidler
504e - Marc Carpenter-Perrault
553 - Pierre Root
564e - François billiard (Roo_400)

Members of PokerCollectif will have therefore experienced a solid day, particularly SixZeros (10th) and Giggy (34th) which fall into the top50.

The hero of the day is, once again, Benjamin Lamb. He knows so far of the incredible world series, while he stands in second place in the standings for player of the year. Ben Lamb will have finished the day 1 B to the forefront.  The survivors will be back for the 2nd day, but before, we will be entitled to much poker since the 2nd day will take place only on 11 and 12 July. It therefore remains the day 1 c, 1 d... and the day 1 c is likely to be one that will attract the most players (and over Quebec!).

So stay tuned, while PokerCollectif will follow the results of other Quebecers who will be attending the day 1 c today.
