In this tournament, a single Quebecer was still in the race: Jonathan Duhamel. On the other hand, his carpet was thin (starting stack) and should know a day of fire to move to the next day.

Very quickly, Duhamel doubled his stack. Then, he was placed on the same table as Phil Hellmuth, who was at this stage very well placed in chips (200,000).

Duhamel who seemed not intimidated at all by Hellmuth played several pots against him and won the majority. A little later, Duhamel won a decisive pot and took the last tokens in Hellmuth who had to be eliminated.

Obviously, Hellmuth was not without Word say. Hellmuth endlessly criticized the Duhamel game which remained polite before Hellmuth reprimands. According to Hellmuth, he wasted no pot because it was tuned, Duhamel did that beat him on each hand.

Although he has not managed to be among the fellows, Duhamel seemed happy with his performance. Recently, he wrote on Twitter: "difficult departure at the WSOP this summer, but I've been reprimanded twice in three days by Phil Hellmuth then I am all smiling!" #waddupPhil".
