Not less than 387 players have registered for the main event of the North America Poker Tour (NAPT), which takes place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville (Connecticut).
After 2 days of play, there are only 74 players in 18 disposals near 56th place and provided $ 7,500 scholarship. With a little more than 1.75 million in prize money, the winner ensures nearly half a million (450 k).
Among the players still in contention, two members of PokerCollectif illustrate particularly. The Québécois Jean-Philippe Matte (JPhil) is currently in 12th place with 283 500 chips, while Ludovic Lachance (ThePlux) closely follows it in 19th place with 220 100 tokens. Quebec Philippe Plouffe (9th at the 2011 PCA) also closely follows our two companions in 25th place with 193 700.
For the moment, Aaron Overton leads the way with its 598 700 tokens; Player pro American Vanessa Selbst, winner of the 2010 edition of the NAPT Mohegan Sun, is still in the race to defend his title: she has avoided little elimination at the end of day, when she found herself in a raise preflop war and it has 5 - bet with 8d4d. His opponent had no less than a pair of ACEs. The flop, Jd - 6 d - 5s, was good news for Selbst, past his slightly less than 20% equity in a little less than 50%. The turning point was a 5 c, but the River, a 7s, completa the suite Selbst and the place so in 5th place.
The action resumes at noon (local time) and will expire while there will remain only 24 players. Wish good luck to our quebecois!
