Jennifer Harman inducted into the Women's Poker Hall of Fame

jennifer_harman.jpgSeptember 3 at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas held a ceremony to induct Jennifer Harman at the Women's Poker Hall of Fame created in 2008.
Jennifer has two bracelets at the WSOP, one earned in the $ 5000 # Limit Deuce-to-Seven draw of 2000 for a $ 146 250 scholarship and the other in 2002 for the $ 5000 Limit Hold'em for a purse of $ 212 440. To this end, she is also the author of the chapter on Limit Hold'em in the Doyle Brunson book, Super System II. Jennifer is the only woman to date to have won two WSOP bracelets.

Jennifer was born and raised in Reno, and she began to play from the age of 8. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada (Reno). In 2004 she took the leave year to undergo a kidney tranplantation. She lives with kidney problems since she was 17 years old. After the transplant, Jennifer founded the non-profit "Creating Organ Donation Awareness" (CODA) Organization.

Following a vote of the public, three women will make their entrance to the Women's Poker Hall of Fame. The three elected are: Kathy Liebert, Jennifer Harman and the late Billie Brown posthumously.

* Linda Johnson (2008, holder of a WSOP, presenter of the WPT bracelet)
* Marsha Wagoner (2008, 18 cashes in the WSOP, live tournament gain $ 1 million)
