June 16'12: several Quebecers spend the day 2 at the event 31


wsop2012_resultatYesterday, our all Quebecers in Las Vegas were free and is therefore not a surprise that many enrolled in the $ 1500 No Limit Hold'em Tournament ' em. Some are already eliminated, but several are still in the race! It will be followed with great interest today!

Event #27 of H.O.R.S.E. ($1500)

A few quick words about this tournament. Yesterday, before the action resumes, there remained only 3 players in the race: David Chiu with 1.9 M chips, Ylon Schwartz with 1.3 M chips and Stephen Chidwick with 785K tokens.

It is finally Ylon Schwartz American who has taken away followed by David Chiu in 2nd position and British Stephen Chidwick in 3rd position. For their performance, the players deserve respectively $ 267,081, $ 164,960 and $ 112,106.

This award is in addition to the many other to Schwartz that already totals 4, 4 M$ in earnings in WSOP tournaments. It is his first career bracelet. Ylon is also a grandmaster in chess.

Event #28 No-Limit Hold'em 4max

Yesterday, there were only 2 tables in this tournament where 750 people were registered. It is finally the Canadian Timothy Adames of Burlington who has won honors and the $392,476! Ahead of Brendon Rubie, runner-up to $ 242,458 and James Schaaf, who finished 3rd for $ 164,823!

 


Event #29 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship ($1000)

It had to have 50 years and more to register in the "senior" tournament. Despite this restriction, an astonishing number of 4128 people registered for the tournament. Yesterday, when the action was taken at 4 pm time of Quebec remained still 462 players in the race.

After a long day of hostility, there are now more than 33 players. Today should be the last day of the tournament that will determine the winner. Remember that no Quebec was still in the race yesterday. The top 10 is currently occupied by Americans. At the forefront, Kevin Steve with 1,325,000 tokens!

Event #30 2-7 Draw Lowball (No-Limit)-$ 1500

Until yesterday starts, it is Michael "TheGrinder" Mizrachi who was leader in chips in the tournament. At this stage, but that there is more than 7 players in the tournament, TheGrinder is currently 3rd with 206,800 chips, while just less than Rep Porter with 233,400 chips and chip leader, Brandon Cantu with 336,100 tokens! Event #31 No-Limit Hold'em ($1500) - 5 Quebec still in the race

This tournament was to closely monitor because all our Quebecers were vacationing at the WSOP and therefore free to participate in this tournament. Several well-known names actually participated in the tournament which: Laurence "Sharon" Grondin, Marc-Étienne Blais alias "Marke", Jonathan Driscoll alias Da_Engineer, Philippe "PhilLeDingue" butcher, Samuel Chartier, Jean-Philippe "JPP" Piquette, Chanracy Khun alias ChanMix, Miguel "Mig" Proulx, Gabriel Houle Morin aka GabyGaby, Christopher "D0r1t0s" McClung, Marc-Étienne "GénéralIrish" McLaughlin, Jason "Jayggins" Hallée, Jonathan Duhamel, André Boyer, Erik Cajelais and Jean-Philippe "JPhil" Matte.

Other Quebecers were also enrolled in this tournament, but those less well known members of our forums (correct us if it is wrong!): Christien Beaudoin, Robert Caughie, Ronald Farber, Benoit Forcier, Derek Lerner, Philippe Plouffe, Charles Poirier, Jonathan Robert, Michel Simoneau, Spencer Stacey and Steve Toulch.

These many names, only a few are still in the race.

271st ranked found Jean-Philippe Piquette with 17,600 tokens, ranked 266th Sam Chartier with 18,200 tokens, ranked 184th, PhilLeDingue with 29,200 tokens, ranked 124th, Marc - Etienne McLaughlin with 41,300 chips and finally, the leader among our québécois, in 11th place, Erik Cajelais with 91,700 chips!

At this stage, it remains still 331 players on 2811 registrants and the blinds are 500/1000 with a 100 ante. The tournament is scheduled to end Monday only.

Event #32 H.O.R.S.E. ($10,000) - Duhamel is eliminated quickly

Tournament with $ 10,000 and only 1 Quebec was in the race, that is Poker_John! Other heads of this tournament known, include the presence of Fabrice Soulier (currently ranked 1st with 146,300 chips), Bertrand Grospellier (currently ranked 8th with 82,500 chips), Phil Ivey (currently ranked 18th with 72, 600 coins) and Daniel Negreanu (at 23 row with 65,100 chips).

Out of the 178 entries, there are still 136 players, but the name of the Duhamel no longer. The action will resume later in the day and it was only Tuesday that we will know the winner of this tournament.
