Main Event WSOP 2014: the winner will receive 10 M$

The WSOP have just announced their Calendar 2014 and what makes the more talk this year is that the winner of the main event will win 10 M$.

Remember indicative that only once in the history of the WSOP main event winner touched so much money. The only winner of the Main Event of the WSOP to win as much is Jamie Gold in 2006 which won 12 M$ while the tournament had attracted 8773 players.

The (2nd) runner-up of the tournament (Paul Wasicka) had it won 6, 1 M$. When you think away money between these two positions, this is probably one of the few times in our life that one is not quite pleased to have won 6, 1 M$.

Among the other notable tournaments are:

Ty Stewart (WSOP Executive Director) is working hard for a long time for the 45th edition of the WSOP be ' the biggest edition and the best so far.»

We learn also that this year's edition will have 65 bracelets, or three more than 2013.

Ambitious project of the WSOP or utopian vision? Whatever it is, the Committee of WSOP may do what he wants to avoid losing money.

In other words, even if the number of entries is not up to their expectations, it can condense a large % of the scholarships to the first position. Therefore, if the number of entries is low, the winner will indeed affect 10 M$, but other positions will suffer. It could resemble l' International Stadium Poker Tour in which 1 M euros had been guaranteed in the first place. Given the number of entries lower than expectations, the 2nd position was found with "only" 285,000 euros.

This is a good shot of promo you? What is this announcement will attract a greater number of entries for the main event or on the contrary, is harmful because other scholarships will be possibly affected by this decision?
