The regulars at PokerCollectif know what it is. One of our members, Poker_John alias, Jonathan Duhamel is also going to participate, this is The Big One For One Drop tournament.

This is the World Series of Poker (WSOP) who will organize the event, a tournament of high level for the benefit of ONE DROP during the 43rd annual event of the WSOP. This Championship will be held at the hotel-casino Rio All-Suite in Las Vegas (Nevada), from 1 to 3 July 2012. A gift of charity from admission fees will be awarded to ONE DROP in support of its activities.

 

 

Several players had already accepted that their identity is made public: Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Johnny Chan, Tom Dwan, Tony G, Jonathan Duhamel, ElkY or Dan Shak.

Today, we learn that other names are: Bobby Baldwin (CEO of MGM), Phil Ruffin, we have already seen in High Stakes Poker and Andy Beal (this will be his first appearance on TV).

This week, Pokercast show that you can listen to on Twoplustwo (http://pokercast.twoplustwo.com/), Seth Palansky said that the limit of 48 participants would already be achieved. According to his words, 50% of the players registered for this tournament will not the pros, among these players non-pros, there will be a woman, a star of the sport and a winner of the Lotto.

Remember that 11% of each buy-in will go to One Drop. As a result, $888,889 will go in the pot for scholars. There will be 42, 6 M$ in scholarships to this tournament for only 48 players! The winner of the tournament will win more money than the player who will end 1 of the Main Event, which is not little say.
