The challenge? A first prize of more than $ 40,000! Knowing that the total of the scholarships did not cover this amount, it was in your best interest to register given the overlay ($ 21670 collected with scholarships for about $ 60,000 in prizes).

The final table had the following line-up:

Daniel "pseudo55" with 490,500 chips at Headquarters No. 1

Steven "DonPlay" with 187,000 chips to the IESO number 2

"Frio" François with 62,500 chips at Headquarters No. 3

Jean "JohnnyP" with 180,000 chips at Headquarters number 4

Martin "Pram27" with 90,000 chips at Headquarters number 5

Jean-François "Gerard68" with 450,000 chips at Headquarters number 6

François 'Siocnarf99' with 93,500 chips at Headquarters number 7

Junior "Poloc" with 210,500 chips at Headquarters number 8

Denis "denis1962" with 236,500 to the seat number 9

Patrick "Pokerpat20" with 168,500 tokens to the number 10 seat

To make things easier, starting stacks have been divided by 10 and the blinds. In other words, each player had 10% of the tokens that it had when the tournament has stopped. The blinds were at 30 minutes and the first step was the blinds at 5K - 10K.

On-site, Laurence "Sharon" Goel was present to award the prize to the winners and the day was moderated by actress Sophie Bourgeois.

Here is a short video in which the friendly Laurence Hi his friends from PokerCollectif:

Laurence is today in Fort Lauderdale on vacation, but to recall the information that have been mentioned in this video, you can follow its tournaments on its official Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Official-Laurence-Grondin-Poker/317270274020) or on Twitter at @LadyLuckPoker.

The tournament started at 3 pm just, but failed to be delayed because one of the participants was not his papers with him since he had been stealing his wallet (bad timing you say?).

Two breaks later and 3 h 30 of play, had already found a winner. Include that the tournament has started aggressively with many all-in and action until there are only 4 players. Then, the players have adopted a tighter style and several pots won without flop. The table has long been to 4 players.

A major hand occurred when the action was rendered 4way precisely. Jean-François "Gerard68" (aka RiverFever on PokerCollectif) pushed all-in with a pair of 6 with the position and the urgent need to accumulate chips. Pseudo55 ends up with AK and it becomes an obvious call for it. Unfortunately for Jean-François, the AAx flop he took almost all hope to finish first in this tournament. 6-lucky never released. After losing the hand, Jean-François has 6000 chips, is less than the value of an ante. It is obviously eliminated a few minutes later.

It was Daniel Bérubé (have a relationship to Tiltman?) who won the tournament after almost 200 minutes of play.

Daniel tells us in an interview that this scholarship is his most big life. He began to play poker about 3 years ago on Internet and studied acting at the virtual money. Today, he is seen mainly live tournaments at the Casino de Montréal and played a few times on Espacejeux when it can move. Before the tournament, his stack of departure gave him a good confidence to rank in the top 3 of this tournament. According to his rivals, he played a poker strong and intelligent and has been lucky at the right time (including the flip he won against RiverFever). He remains modest about his game since he qualified for amateur player and it is also for this reason that it participate not in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2012 and will take rather the $ 10,000 cash he will however attend the satellite tournament $ 25,000 organized by Loto-Quebec who might give input for the tournament at 1 M$, The Big One for One Drop, tournament involving particular Guy Laliberté and Jonathan "Poker_John" Duhamel.

The awards went as follows:

10th place: $ 500 (Junior "Poloc")

9th position: $ 600 (Denis "denis1962")

8th position: $ 750 (François "Siocnarf99)

7th place: $ 850 (Martin "Pram27")

6th place: $ 1200 (Jean "JohnnyP)

5th place: $ 1600 ("Frio" François)

4th place: $ 2400 (Patrick "pokerpat20")

3rd place: $ 3600 (Jean-Francois "Gerard68")

2nd place: $ 5000 (Steven "DonPlay")

1st position: $ 5,000 in cash, a right of entry to the main event of the World Series of Poker 2012, worth $ 10,000, an entrance fee of $ 25,000 to the Grand tournament of poker Loto-Québec, for a total value of $ 40,000
