An expenditure + EV for Loto-Quebec

The news is a little on the sidelines of the usual news from PokerCollectif, but all similarly worthy of mention.

Loto-Québec has recently launched a new lottery; Lotto Poker.  To launch their new product, Loto-Québec has focused on Lady Gagy and her song "Poker Face". The cost of upgrading? $ 300,000. Jean-Pierre Roy, spokesman for Loto-Québec explains in the Journal de Montréal that this amount is standard in the middle of advertising. This sum included user fees, production costs and agency costs.

Investment quickly became EV +. 48 hours after the launch of the loto (released May 2) Loto-Québec had sold for $ 440,000 tickets. More importantly, after the first week of sales (from 2 to 9 May), Loto-Québec had sales equivalent to eight times their initial investment.

According to spokespersons of Loto-Québec, the choice of this song is explained by customer cibliee, young people between 20 and 35 years. Lady Gaga joins this clientele. On Youtube only, this song was heard 82 263 963 times, which is surely in part cost as high for the purchase of the rights to this song.

With the above figures, we realize the importance of a good advertising campaign to launch a product. The image, as on a poker table, is very important!

Poker Face is the most expensive song purchased to date by Loto-Québec Crown Corporation.

The game as it obviously remains EV - for gamers. Some statistics on this Lotto:
