Eight pros continue UB in the "superuser" folder

Eight poker pros who played on the tables of Ultimate Bet attack today in justice Excapsa Software, Inc., the company behind Ultimate Bet since 2006.

The plaintive eight list is as follows:

Daniel "Ashman" Ashman
• Brad "Yukon Brad" Booth ("High Stakes Poker" and "Poker After Dark")
• Thomas "tommyboy83" Koral
• Greg "Captain Zeebo" Lavery ("From Busto to Robusto")
• Dave Lizmi
• Daniel "KingDan" Smith
• Joseph Sanders
• Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf

The total amount of these 8 pros losses is estimated at 2 M$

According to the wailing, the manner in which UB has repaid his victims was inadequate. Among the things alleged to UB, unfair business practice (as understood the California Business and Professions Code 17200-17210), fraud, negligence and conspiracy.

The plaintive eight require in addition to the money stolen in this case, reimbursement of their attorneys and the punitive costs of 10 M$.

Ten of the defendants were the name of John Doe (the equivalent in french by Mr X or Joe Bloe), UB leaders; Today we learn that it might be Greg Pierson, Jon Karl, Jack Bates, or Russ Hamilton (champion of the WSOP Main Event of 1994). Let's say that UB was not what there is of more transparent after this story.

This lawsuit is not made collectively, in other words, players that complaints represent only themselves and a community of blurry players.

Recall that Ultimate Bet was born in 2000 of the partnership of Greg Pierson, Jon Karl and Russ Hamilton. Software included the ability to see the cards of other players for the administrators of the website only (going from either). This faculty has been named "God Mode". At the time, this is Russ Hamilton who is most strongly suspected of having used this God Mode to play on the High Stakes tables. Today, it is estimated that 22 M$ have been stolen on 23 different accounts. Where is this money gone? Repayments have been made, but not of the order of 22 M$.

Obviously, when one is too greedy, you necessarily end up getting caught. In 2008, on the Twoplustwo forums, we learned that the "NioNio" player had won a number of hands just incredible against reputed to be the world's best players. Among other things, his game on the River was simply impeccable. He won too often the showdown and callait almost never with the worst hand. Is it callait an all-in and had the best hand, or it raisait and was folder his opponent. His assault on the river factor was infinite on a significant sample of hands. Obviously, if you see your opponents cards, this is what may happen. Why caller when you have the best hand, so that you can raiser? In short, these statistics were too perfect to be real and put doubts in the minds of many players.

Following these de facto States, a survey had been conducted and it was determined that Russ Hamilton was behind this story of cheating.

Several people have been reimbursed, but several others have not been repaid. This forum as Phil Legomc players have lost a lot of money with this story and have not been compensated fairly. UB has been very uncooperative in this story. For example, the hand in question history was kept secret.

Is that these players will be successful? When we have more details on this story, we will keep you informed without fault.
