Greg Raymer is no longer part of the PokerStars team

greg-raymer.jpg Some speak as to one fact, others as a rumor. Greg Raymer is no longer part of the PokerStars Team Pro. On Twoplustwo, he commented: "There has been a lot of discussion about my representation of PokerStars, and it is true that right now I am not representing them" (translation: «we have discussed my status at PokerStars and to this day, I no longer represents»).»

On his Twitter account, Kathy Liebert (professional poker player) wrote: "I have heard that PokerStars suppressed certain compensation to the members of the Team Pro and this was to take or leave. Greg Raymer has decided to leave".

It is a thread created on Twoplustwo yesterday which informed us of the new.

If you see the list of pros in the PokerStars software, you will find more Greg Raymer. When he was sitting at the same table as Pat Pezzin, this brief discussion took place:

Pat Pezzin: yo Greg
FossilMan: Hi Pat
Pat Pezzin: why don't have you more of red star next to your name?
Fossilman: It is a long story, call me if you want!

According to several comments read in the thread, Greg Raymer is the best poker player to have signed with PokerStars from the era of the "pokerboom" (which Moneymakers and Joe Hachem are advantage).

Greg Raymer was part of the team since 2004 after winning his bracelet at the WSOP Main Event of that year.

After this performance, Fossilman (this nickname him is notably due to the fact that he collected fossils in his spare time) has done a few other significant performance. In 2007, his tournament earnings amounted to more than $ 6 million.

The departure of Greg Raymer is giving way to the new generation of poker players including Jonathan Duhamel.
