Today, we take a break from all the news about Full Tilt Poker to talk to you today about the Poker Hall of Fame 2011! What is it exactly?

The Poker Hall of Fame was created in 1979 by Benny Binion to honour great poker players and to have a tourist attraction for its casino. The conditions for being inducted are as follows:


Having played in high limits.
Playing major tournaments.
Have played consistently in having earned the respect of his peers.
Having survived the test of time.
Or, for non-gamers, have contributed to the growth and the success of this game by sustainable events that have marked the history of poker at all ever.

Each year, since 1979, one or more players are honored by entering in the very exclusive Poker Hall of Fame circle, what we call the Hall of Fame.

For your information, the last three players has joined the Poker Hall of Game are Mike Sexton (2009), Dan Harrington (2010) and Erik Seidel (2010), the guy who wins more tournaments than D0r1t0s (sick!)

  • Barry Greenstein
  • Jennifer Harman - Traniello
  • John Juanda
  • Marcel Luske
  • Jack Mc Clelland
  • Tom Mc Evoy
  • Scotty Nguyen
  • Hucklenerry Seed
A new rule named " Chip Reese " rule (died December 2007), complements the selection criteria, indicating, as no player (or player) of less than 40 years cannot be inducted.

Note in closing that a college composed of the 18 living members of the Hall of Fame and 17 figures from a media panel will be responsible for designer the future winners including the investiture will take place when the "November Nine" of the WSOP.
