Alan Meltzer bequeathed a tip of 1.5 million

You remember Alan Meltzer? This poker enthusiast and former guest at the popular High Stakes Poker (in 2009) and Poker After Dark (season 6) died, October 31, at the age of 67. He was a music mogul who was the founder of wind-up Records (the largest independent music company). A year earlier, his wife had left him after 13 years of marriage.

Meltzer, renowned for having the heart on hand, then decided to leave a generous tip to those who have provided her a shoulder to cry. According the New York Post, Meltzer bequeathed not less than 1.5 million dollars to his driver and his doorman after his death: his driver, Jean Laborde $ 1 million, and $ 500,000 to her doorman, Shamil Demiraj.

"It was so much a nice man. '' He gave me money, but it is not a good deal for me since he is no longer with us... "his driver told the New York Post. Same story for Demiraj, who told ABC News: "he was a generous man. He was a very good friend to me, and I was a friend for him. It is all a surprise. May he rest in peace, that's all what I want! ».

Here are two big pots played by Meltzer (against Tom Dwan) under HighStakes Poker and Poker After Dark:
