The Cereus network players attempting to leave the boat

isaac_haxton_ultimatebetWhile the bad news accumulates and the uncertainty about the future of the Cereus (Absolute Poker and UltimateBet) network, many players are trying to leave the boat before it sank.

This is particularly the case for players such as Andrew 'BalugaWhale' Seidman, Isaac 'Ike' Haxton, and more close to home, Kirb.

While offers were at $ 0.40 per $ 1 earlier this week, Kirb announced yesterday that he was selling at $ 0.35 per $ 1 up to a maximum of $ 100,000; 1 hour later, BalugaWhale announced that he was seeking a rate of $ 0.30 per $ 1 for a lesser amount ($ 13,000). Barely 20 minutes later, it is Isaac 'Ike' Haxton who announced that he was ready to take a rate of $ 0.20 per $ 1 up to a maximum of $ 300,000. Despite a rate as low, buyers do not jostle at the gates, which illustrates the confidence (or should I say the "confidence") players about the future of this network, despite the announcement a few hours ago that the minimum amount of withdrawal would be increased to $ 1000 for withdrawals by card VISA and $ 500 for other payment methods.

This is the second time that Isaac Haxton is found in such a situation. In 2007, after winning $ 861 789 at the PCA (payable in his PokerStars account), he did transfer the amount to their Neteller account. The next day, the U.S. Justice Department seized money. For several months, Haxton was in the uncertainty of never see his money. Fortunately for him, he was able to touch again to his earnings. No indication however that this new story will have all also happy ending...
