Further details on the fusion Party Poker and Bwin

party-poker-bwin-merger-300x246.jpgWe you had already talked about it some time ago. Today, we have new interesting details about this merger.

Fusion will be completed during the year 2011 after it has been endorsed by 75% of the shareholders of the 2 clans merged.

With regard to turnover, Party Poker and Bwin to it both have one of $ USD 887 million. The merger of these two companies will allow them to save 70 million in management of any kind.

Therefore, from 2011, PartyGaming and Ongame for Bwin, make more than one.

For those who know a little less well Bwin, is one of the most important operators with regard to sports betting and it appears in 5th position at the level of the poker rooms. As for Party Poker , it is 3rd at the level of the poker after PokerStars and FullTilt Poker rooms. Imagine how this new entity created by the merger is going to be important in the world of online poker! Many people are optimistic to the point of asserting that this merger will increase the new room before PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker in terms of traffic, although we highly doubt.

At the level of the figures, Party Poker is still far from PokerStars. According to PokerScout, Party Poker has averaged on its tables 3550 regular players, otherwise said, players who play every day a considerable number of hands. Bwin has 2350. For his part, PokerStars has 25 6000, which is almost five times more than the combined total of Party Poker and Bwin.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but it seems that when the 2 merged companies will operate in France, they will do so under the Bwin brand and when they operate in the United States, they will do so under the PartyPoker sign. This is perhaps why some people will feel that PartyPoker will no longer exist in France after the merger.

With the fierce competition that is currently in France, I wouldn't be surprised to see of other big mergers of the kind take place. Mergers be the prerequisite for the survival of the different rooms of poker in France and everywhere on the planet? Hope not.
