Details

The quality rather than the quantity. This is the priority of Phil Galfon when he created BlueFirePoker 2009. Since then, he has created an impressive team of talented young players and BlueFirePoker quickly became, in the opinion of many, the best poker video site. On the other hand, since December 2011, Galfon has left the team of BlueFirePoker

Instructors

The team of instructors of BlueFirePoker is probably the greatest strength of this site. Each of the players on the team is an accomplished poker player. First, Phil Galfond (known as Pahi or OMGClayAiken) is one of the biggest winners in online poker. He personally chose the other instructors, as Jason Senti (finalist in the 2010 WSOP main event; known as the alias PBJaxx), Martin Fournier-Giguère (participant of PokerCollectif; known as the aka Giggy or DrGiggy member), Niman Kenkre (Samoleus), Alix Martin (AMartin), Alan Jackson (AJackson), Don Nguyen (SoCalQuest) and a few others.

Videos

Members will have access to more than 500 videos, including about 80 in french (either from the french by Giggy videos, or some who have been translated by Kidam (PokerCollectif).

New videos are added every week (at the rate of about 5 videos per week).

Videos can be downloaded and can also be seen streaming. BlueFire Poker does not use DRM technology: so you can listen to the videos on your Iphone or Ipad without problem, and you can listen to the videos you have downloaded even once your completed subscription.

Costs

$ 30 per month and $ 100 for registration. Free 7-day trial.

Benefits

  • The quality of the instructors: just quickly look statistics of each of the instructors to quickly see that BlueFire Poker offers the crème de la crème.
  • The quality of the videos/blogs.
  • Several videos translated into french.
  • 7 days free.

Cons

  • Content focused almost exclusively on the cashgames; some instructors tournaments come to be committed by BlueFirePoker, but it is still too early to find extensive content for anything other than the cashgames.
  • The site is still relatively new so there is not so many videos. The frequency of the videos is also a bit low (but is, in my opinion, outweighed by the quality of the videos).

The final word

At the level of quality, BlueFire Poker is probably the #1 site. If you're a cashgame player and would like to subscribe to a single video coaching site, PokerCollectif strongly recommends that you enroll at Blue Fire Poker.
