May 31: Time flies, it's time WSOP again

For some time, I feel really rejuvenated me. My life, and it includes the routine, came down to that of a young teenager who's sole purpose is to fill the day with fun activities and nothing more. Only today I finally realized that I was going to have to act like an "adult" from tomorrow until the end of the WSOP.

For some time, I feel really rejuvenated me. My life, and it includes the routine, came down to that of a young teenager who's sole purpose is to fill the day with fun activities and nothing more. Only today I finally realized that I was going to have to act like an "adult" from tomorrow until the end of the WSOP.

Every day I get up to 11 h, followed perhaps a round of golf with friends. Then go to either the Kona Grill or the Naked Fish, both of sushi restaurants to take a few beers, sake, edamame (note: boiled soybean seeds and served with salt), and least for me Pad Thai vegetarian or vegetarian roll.

At supper, the main topic of conversation usually revolves around my golf game pathetic and why I'm so bad. I take it pretty well, since those pay my head are my friends.

After supper, direction home. I'd rather stay at home than staying in a bar or a club with lots of people I do not know. Over the years, it became very annoying for my friends who felt they had to play bodyguards with me, while some people might sometimes have unacceptable ways. For example, people are invited to join our group altogether for the rest of the evening. And I'm talking about strangers. It's just rude.

My house lacks nothing and can no longer be functional. It always starts with a game of billiards, I plug my I-Pod on speakers and jams and Bob Marley used as background music. There are usually people in the yard, especially if there are smokers. In the living room there is the Wii that actually go on my giant screen, allowing people to bowling, tennis, baseball and even golf game Tiger Woods. There is also a poker table and last night we played a $ 200 freezeout, half No-Limit Hold'em Limit half, like the first tournament of the WSOP. We were 8 and I finished 5th after a call idiot because I found it boring.

I raised preflop with K c_heart.gif 3 c_heart.gif Boston Rob and began all-in BB. I was spinning for gambler and I called ... he had put K c_spade.gif K c_diamond.gif ! Super. Finally, Rob Marcello Delgrosso Park and Ted were those who fought for the title. Rob tried a crazy bluff against Marcello who saw it coming and was therefore eliminated. After several unsuccessful attempts of both sides to eliminate his opponent attempts, both soft cheeses have decided to make a deal. I forgot to warn them before they leave it very windy outside and skirts could rise heading towards their car.

The party never died before 6 am, and sometimes, especially when Marcello insists on playing pool, you can go up to 14 h. My wife wakes up with a questioning face meaning: "It must be a joke? You are STILL playing! ". Then she went to the grocery store to buy food for everyone.

It was especially fun last night because I had friends in Toronto that I had never yet come. Many are in town for the WSOP and it's an incredibly talented group. Perhaps you've heard: Van Nguyen, Marcello Del Grosso, "Coin flip" Greg Debora, and several other grinders (cash game players talented) less well known, but which provide play more tournaments to WSOP .

With all the fun I had, I also took the time to see some business projects. Yesterday I had a really interesting meeting about a very cool project that I think could really blow you away. As usual, I can not say more for now, but this is probably one of the best ideas I have heard in a long time.

Oh, and before I forget, I must share with you my time "I Bet You" (emission Esfandiari and Phil Laak).

We were all at Naked Fish and I noticed that there were a couple who seemed a little embarrassed. Something in their body language led me to think it was their first date, not only that, but I thought hard as iron that it was a blind date.

I took the initiative to offer any of my friends the opportunity to pledge $ 500. The challenge was simple: "I bet these two have never met before today." Ted Park, who obviously doubted my ability to read, jumped at the chance. So I went to see the couple in question and asked them if they had met before today.

They looked at me in surprise, wondering what could possibly have lead me to this conclusion, until the girl responds: "No, it works with my mother and she has set this first appointment. "Super! $ 500 straight into my pockets. The couple seemed amused by the scene, so I decided to pay their bills with my new fortune.

Now all that is over and here is my preliminary plan for the WSOP:

I plan to play almost every day and spend little to no time to make profile stuff, apart from two matinees on 8 and 9 June My plan is to sulk tournaments and low cost me to dwell more expensive beginning at 17 h, these tournaments better suited to my abilities. This schedule is not set in stone, except that it is impossible that I play a tournament that is not on the current list. I'll probably spend my turn a few tournaments in order not to burn me. Barring a sudden change, I also decided not to play cash games during the WSOP, because it requires too much energy.

I played a session Bellagio 8 hours this week and I played really well. I was very unlucky not to win in Triple Draw no good pot of the entire game. When you can not have a good hand to Triple Draw Mixed size, it usually means that you will be destined to have a losing session since updates are more impressive than some 7 Card Stud example. I finally finished $ 95,000 in the red and the game ended after Chan, Tuan and I have played three players during a.

Otherwise, I have not played a lot of poker, and that was my intention anyway since the WSOP will be exhausting.

On days when I'll start at 17 am, maybe I'll decide to play golf, or if I play at noon and I quickly removed, I might go to the field to play a round at the end of afternoon. I assume that there will be large parts of golf during the WSOP, but I'm so bad at the moment it would be difficult to challenge another player because he would have given me a TON of strokes ahead for the game to be about right. Not only moves ahead, but as I do not hit the ball around without tee, I also use a tee for every shot. Who knows, we'll see ...

Furthermore, I do not drink alcohol during the WSOP. I'll probably entertain my guests one or two evenings during the month, but otherwise I'll be home by train to train, play pool, sit with my wife, and mostly relax between each tournament.

I offered and I still offers anyone the opportunity to bet on the fact that I will not win the WSOP bracelet this year. I had several offers for the first time I have spoken, so here is a reminder to those interested: you give me odds of 5-1 and I am willing to bet up to $ 100,000 that I will win at least a WSOP bracelet this year. For those who do not know exactly how it works, it would cost you $ 500 if you lose your bet when I should give you $ 100 if I could not win a bracelet.

I propose a toast to the 2007 WSOP, good luck to everyone!
